Norwich - a city in celebration

The month of May provided glorious summer weather in spring, the 11th Norfolk and Norwich Festival, some fantastic music concerts, and the return to the English Premiership of Norwich City Football Club, "the canaries", as well as all the celebrations which followed. A beautiful and memorable month and a great time to be in the city ...

Norwich City promotion parade evening. Fans waiting for the team and management staff to arrive on the balcony after their civic reception in City Hall, before parading around the city in an open-topped bus. An estimated 50,000 people lined the streets, many of them here outside the City Hall singing and enjoying a carnival atmosphere.

Even the City Hall lions were proudly wearing their yellow and green canary scarves :)
